Service · Production cells and lines

Production cells and lines from design to production, from one source

We deliver production cells, machine units, custom machines and complete production lines: concept, mechanical and electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, programming, commissioning and training. The task decides the technology – manipulator, custom machine, vision system or robot.

One partner for the entire production task

We don't start from a particular device but from the production process: what has to be moved, machined, assembled or inspected, and at what rate. We select the machine units, the controls and the material flow accordingly – whether it is a single station or a production line of several cells.

From the concept through mechanical and electrical design, manufacturing and assembly to programming and commissioning, everything comes together in one team. Mechanics, electrics and software are aligned on the drawing board, and it is clear who is responsible for the system working.

What do we deliver?

A

Production cells

Cells combining several operations in one place: material infeed, machining, inspection and output under one main control system, with operator panel and recipe handling.

B

Production lines and linking

Linking stations, conveyors and machines: main PLC, signal exchange between stations, sequencing and data connection towards production management.

C

Manipulators and machine units

Servo-axis and pneumatic manipulators, gantries, lifting and rotating units – where a targeted motion is a simpler and more economical solution than a robot.

D

Custom machines

Machines and stations designed for specific production tasks, where no ready, off-the-shelf solution exists.

E

Assembly and insertion stations

Component insertion, pressing, force measurement, torque- and angle-monitored screwdriving, with step-by-step verification.

F

Vision and measuring stations

Dimensional and presence checks, vision-guided positioning, OK/NOK decisions, automatic sorting and logged results.

G

Machining and tending cells

Tending machine tools, furnaces and other equipment, deburring, thread cutting, blow-off and washing integrated into the production process.

H

Robot cells

Welding, packaging, palletising and machine tending robot cells, when a robot is the best choice for the task – manufacturer-independent, to the customer's requirements.

I

Retrofit and conversion

Modernising existing machines and cells: new controls, new functions, adding new products.

Not every task needs a robot

Robot programming is our main field, but we do not design a production cell around the robot. A synchronised axis pair, a custom machine or a vision station is often simpler, faster and easier to maintain than a robot solution – at other times the flexibility of a robot is decisive.

We make the choice together, based on cycle time, the number of type changes, space requirements and maintainability. We structure the controls so that operators understand them and maintenance staff can handle the system on their own.

Uniform control across the entire system

In a complex cell, the main PLC works together with several machine units, drives, cameras and robots. We develop the signal exchange between units, recipe handling, fault handling and the operator interface from one source, in a uniform structure, so faults can be traced quickly.

On request, machine states can also be monitored by our IMS machine monitoring system, and the PLC programming page describes our control engineering services in detail.

Safety from the first design step

The safety concept of the system is not an afterthought. While designing the layout we already define the safety fencing, door interlocks, the zones of safety laser scanners and light curtains, and how operators intervene.

We implement safety functions based on the risk assessment and support the customer in compiling the technical documentation required for conformity.

What do you receive at handover?

  • A working system that has passed trial production
  • Electrical drawings and mechanical documentation
  • PLC, HMI and robot program backups
  • Operator and maintenance manuals
  • Training for operators and maintenance staff
  • Warranty and further support on request
